Although all the materials we choose for our windows and doors are designed for durability and minimal maintenance, Fibrex material is the lowest-maintenance material we use. Not only will it never need repainting, but it also resists the rot and decay that wood can be vulnerable to, and it won’t fade, flake, blister, or peel.*

After 30 years in a Minnesota home, we found Fibrex material to be just as strong as the Fibrex material made today.**  

Composites vary in price depending on the material. Take Fiberglass, which is a composite, but one that’s typically much more expensive than our Fibrex material. It’s important not to categorize all composites as either expensive or inexpensive; they range in price. 

We went back to run tests on some of the first Fibrex material windows ever installed in a Minnesota home 30 years ago. What we found is that the Fibrex material had not cracked, rotted, pitted, corroded, flaked, blistered or peeled, and was still 2x stronger than vinyl, even after decades of severe hot and cold temperatures.*
