What are Andersen 400 Series products made of?
400 Series products are primarily made from wood with a Perma-Shield® exterior cladding. The wood provides natural strength, insulation, and interior beauty while the Perma-Shield cladding makes them low-maintenance and weather resistant. Perma-Shield cladding is a proprietary, high-grade vinyl that we vacuum form or extrude around the wood for a superior seal.
Like all of our products, 400 Series windows and doors are fine-tuned with the right materials in the right places, which also includes fiberglass and our proprietary Fibrex® composite material.
