Andersen Corporation (Andersen), manufacturer of America's most loved brand of windows and doors*, has named Kelly McLain senior vice president and chief legal officer, effective September 2026. McLain will lead Andersen's enterprise legal function and serve as a member of the company's executive committee. She succeeds Andrea Nordaune, senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, who will retire following a distinguished career with Andersen.
McLain joined Andersen in 2025 as vice president and general counsel for the Andersen Division, where she quickly established herself as a trusted advisor to business leaders across the organization. In her new role, she will have responsibility for the company's legal strategy and operations, supporting Andersen's long-term growth and business objectives.
Prior to joining Andersen, McLain served as associate general counsel at Cargill, Incorporated. Before transitioning to in-house practice, she was a litigation senior associate at Robins Kaplan LLP, where she focused on high-stakes, complex litigation, and served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Michael Davis of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota.
"Kelly is an exceptional leader whose legal expertise, business acumen and collaborative approach have earned the trust and respect of colleagues across Andersen. Since joining Andersen, she has demonstrated a deep understanding of our business, our culture and our strategic priorities. We are excited to have Kelly lead our legal organization and help guide Andersen's continued success."
Chris Galvin, chairman and chief executive officer of Andersen Corporation
McLain earned a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School and a bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin. She is committed to serving her community and has held leadership roles with The Fund for Legal Aid and Advocates for Human Rights.
With this planful leadership transition, Andersen celebrates and thanks outgoing senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, Andrea Nordaune, for her more than 30 years of distinguished service to Andersen.
"For more than three decades, Andrea has helped shape and protect our business through periods of tremendous growth and change, while building a world-class legal organization grounded in integrity, sound judgment and service. We are profoundly grateful for her leadership, her partnership and the lasting legacy she leaves across Andersen."
