Ehrlichmann Named a Top Emerging Leader in Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's Minnesota Manufacturing Awards

Jessica Ehrlichmann, vice-president of strategic sourcing, sustainability and safety, has been honored as a top "Emerging Leader" as part of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's Minnesota Manufacturing Awards.

2023 marks the 6th annual Minnesota Manufacturing Awards program, which recognizes manufacturing companies and the people that drive Minnesota's manufacturing economy.

As shared in the newspaper article, Jessica was honored for her increased improvements to Andersen’s supply chain, on-time performance and sustainability.

“This award is a testament to Jessica’s dedication to the business, innovative thinking and unwavering dedication to elevate the strategic sourcing strategy organization. Her work has evolved our organization to build a more resilient, capable network of suppliers to help improve continuity, scale for growth and position us to meet and even exceed the expectations of our customers,” said Lance Whitacre, senior vice president, manufacturing and logistics.

When COVID-19 disrupted supply chains worldwide, Jessica quickly shifted her team's focus to maximizing Andersen’s supply chain resiliency, a critical component to business stability and customer satisfaction. To do this, she strengthened relationships with our tier 1 suppliers, which in turn led to introductions to higher tier suppliers, and a deeper, more resilient, customer-focused supplier network.

“Our supply team needs to know exactly what our customers value most in our products, so we can better prioritize our supply chain improvements and ensure that those values are never compromised,” she said.

Jessica was also celebrated for her work in sustainability. Notably, Jessica recently led Andersen’s participation in MBOLD’s circular economy initiative, a coalition working to expand film recycling capacity in the Upper Midwest, curtail plastic waste and cut greenhouse-gas emissions.

“If we find ways to apply or adapt strategies used by other industries and leverage our own contacts, we can create a framework for construction to have a more circular economy,” she explains. “For me, working out these important solutions is extremely rewarding and provides the industry momentum to inspire real progress.”
