Windows from Goodyear Hands to Habitat Homes

At Andersen, we know a stable home provides a foundation for families to thrive. Through nearly three decades of work with Habitat for Humanity, we have seen firsthand how affordable homeownership transforms lives and communities.

So, when the team in Goodyear, Arizona, started to think about how they wanted to support the local community, Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona was a natural choice.

Over the past four years, Andersen and the Andersen Corporate Foundation have donated $75,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona to help hardworking families in Goodyear and surrounding communities achieve their dream of homeownership.

In 2022, the Goodyear team donated enough windows for every home Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona aimed to build — totaling more than 200 windows.

“Many of the windows we donated to Habitat were built in our Goodyear facility, providing us the opportunity to quickly show our support to this community,” said Jennifer Ewig, Andersen’s supply chain director. “We are very thankful for this partnership and opportunity to collaborate with Habitat on these new homes in support of their mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.”

As the plant prepared the windows, employees from our Goodyear team volunteered their time and talent to help frame up the homes. When the windows where ready to be installed, members of our Andersen Professional Building Services team shared their time and expertise to help with installation. Over the coming months, the team will continue to volunteer on the build site to bring these homes to completion.

Through philanthropy, product donations and volunteer service, the team in Goodyear is investing in their neighbors and their communities.

This new and expanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona builds on Andersen’s longstanding commitment to advancing affordable homeownership through our support of Habitat and its affiliates across the country. Since 1995, Andersen and the Andersen Corporate Foundation have donated more than $7 million to Habitat affiliates in communities where our employees live and work.
