Andersen Recognized for Pollinator Support
Friends of St. Croix Wetland and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service thanked Andersen for its support and promotion of pollinator habitat with a celebration at Andersen’s Corporate Administrative Office in Oak Park Heights on April 18. A plaque was presented to the sustainability team in recognition of Andersen’s ongoing partnership and support of conservation programs and efforts throughout the St. Croix River Watershed and beyond.
“Your partnership, volunteer hours, generous cash donations, and time and commitment towards restoration projects and outreach/communication efforts have played a major role in the habitat successes that have occurred on the landscape to date,” said Caitlin Smith, private lands biologist, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, St. Croix Wetland Management District. “We sincerely appreciate your commitment and efforts towards this common goal of working together to establish more pollinator habitat on the landscape.”
Andersen has been actively supporting pollinator habitat since 2015. “Through plantings at our facilities, educating and engaging our employees, collaborating with external stakeholders and advocating for policy change, Andersen is committed to supporting critical pollinator habitat and sustaining the beauty and biodiversity of the communities where we live and work,” said Eliza Clark, Andersen’s director of sustainability and environment.
