Mixed Finishes
From lighting to faucets and appliances, the use of mixed finishes was everywhere. First spotted within the Progressive Lighting booth, we were drawn to the thoughtful combination of warm brass finishes with more muted black and aluminum finishes. It’s also noteworthy that the trend wasn’t limited to just modern styles, but also used in more traditional designs.
The new Café appliance collection from GE continued the trend, but made it more personal by giving you the ability to customize the handles and knobs on ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators and more. Their stylish finish options of brushed copper, bronze, black and stainless look gorgeous in any combination.
Walking through the Kohler booth, we were surprised and delighted to see the mixed finishes trend reimagined by combining finishes within the same material. The Kohler® touchless kitchen faucet in ombre titanium and rose gold was a beautifully stylish and glamorous showstopper. The transition from cool to warm is flawless and proves that a functional piece can still look lavish. (It’s available in a warm to cool combination as well.)
