Andersen Corporation will be presenting Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors with a $15,000 check to support the organization’s 2018 home build schedule. The grant was announced at the company’s recent annual shareholder meeting and will be made on behalf of Andersen shareholders.
“As part of our Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee sponsorship activities, we announced a $75,000 product donation to Jared Allen’s Home for Wounded Warriors to build 10 houses for injured U.S. military veterans,” said Jay Lund, Andersen chairman and CEO. “On behalf of Andersen shareholders, we will be providing a $15,000 financial contribution to help improve the lives of veterans who sustained life-changing injuries while serving our country.”
Andersen has a long-standing commitment to supporting programs that provide critical housing support to individuals and families in communities where employees live and work.
Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors serves wounded United States military veterans who sustained a physical injury or wounds during their military service in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom, making it challenging for them to comfortably get around in the privacy of their homes. The organization raises money to build or remodel homes for critically wounded United States military veterans making them 100-percent handicap accessible specific to their injuries.
About Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors
Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors was formed in October of 2009 by former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen after he returned home from his USO trip to US Military Bases in the Middle East. Jared was moved by the commitment, dedication, and sacrifices that our soldiers make every day to protect our freedom. He wanted to say thank you to every soldier in the only way that Jared knows how. By embracing the conflict and making a positive life-changing difference in the lives of those who need it most, Jared and the organization will help make life for wounded vets just a little bit easier.
