We employ rigorous performance and quality testing to make sure we continue to set the highest possible bar for performance. That’s why for you, peace of mind comes standard on all Andersen® window and doors.

From left to right: High-Performance™ Low-E4® Glass, High Performance™ Low-E4® Smartsun™ Glass and High Performance™ Low-E4® Sun Glass.
Andersen windows can help you reduce energy usage and costs, and glass is perhaps the most critical component of energy efficiency.
- Low energy: Andersen offers several energy-saving low-E glass options that offer greater control over your heating and cooling costs. Low-E glass offers thermal control in hot and cold conditions.
- SmartSun™ glass filters out 95 percent of harmful UV rays that can cause fading.
- Sun glass offers maximum protection from heat gain for hot southern climates.
- Our other glass options feature improved strength, clarity or patterns to provide privacy without sacrificing light.
Andersen products are long lasting because we use high-quality materials. The exclusive Andersen® Perma-Shield
® Cladding system provides exceptional durability. Used as the protective shell on our 200 Series and 400 Series products, it repels water, resists dents and stays beautiful for years. Even better, Perma-Shield is virtually maintenance free and
doesn’t peel, blister, flake or corrode.
Fibrex®, our proprietary structural material, is made of 40 percent wood fiber by weight that is mostly reclaimed from our manufacturing process and 60 percent PVC by weight. Fibrex material is twice as strong as vinyl, retains its stability, rigidity and helps maintain a weathertight seal in all climates; blocks thermal transfer nearly 700 times better than aluminum; and won’t fade, flake, blister, chalk or peel.
Our architecturally designed product line, A-Series, uses components designed to work together in perfect unison. The exterior fiberglass material expands and contracts at the same rate as the glass, while the wood interior and Fibrex material frame also share the similar expansion and contraction rates, offering the best performance yet of any of our windows.
High Performance™ Low-E4® SmartSun™ Impact-Resistant Glass
Andersen windows and doors offer weather-resistant construction that seals out drafts, winds and water so efficiently, you can relax in comfort—whatever the weather. We carefully select weatherstripping to match each style of window and door to make sure you enjoy superior comfort and reliability.
We’ve developed our
Stormwatch® protection system especially for our customers who live under the threat of hurricanes and other forms of severe weather. Windows and doors with Stormwatch protection meet building code requirements in Gulf and Atlantic coast states. Products with Stormwatch protection are energy efficient,
resist the effects of salt water and stand up to hurricane-force winds and windborne debris. See your local building code official for code requirements in your area.
