As Andersen Corporation continues to integrate its broader brand portfolio, it is updating the identities of several recently acquired companies. Industry observers will notice a new look for the American Craftsman, KML by Andersen, and Silver Line Windows & Doors brands. New logos for the American Craftsman and Silver Line Windows & Doors brands will identify each as “An Andersen Company,” and will begin to appear in the coming weeks. Products previously sold under the KML by Andersen brand name will soon be sold as part of a broader, more comprehensive Andersen architectural window and door line.
“This change is part of the evolution of the Andersen brand and our long-term strategy to broaden the portfolio and create a more cohesive branding of our products,” said Jay Lund, group senior vice president at Andersen. “It aligns with our corporate vision and leverages the strength of the Andersen brand across all of our businesses while maintaining the integrity and value proposition of each individual business.”
Andersen also has updated the logos for its core product lines to more clearly identify its 400 Series, 200 Series and architectural windows and doors.
Andersen Corporation’s current brand portfolio is the result of several acquisitions in recent years. In May 2001, Andersen acquired EMCO, the industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of storm doors and related accessories. In October 2001, Andersen acquired KML Windows, Inc. (KML), a London, Ontario-based manufacturer of custom architectural window and door products for the North American residential and light commercial market segments. In May 2005, Andersen acquired Eagle Window & Door, a Dubuque, Iowa-based manufacturer of aluminum clad wood windows, patio doors and entry doors for high-end residential and commercial construction projects.
In June 2006, Andersen purchased Silver Line Building Products Corporation, the leading manufacturer of vinyl windows and patio doors in North America. It manufactures products under both Silver Line Windows & Doors and American Craftsman brands.
