This year, Andersen introduced a new relationship with Yellowstone National Park through the Yellowstone Park Foundation. Andersen will donate $10,000 toward the park’s new sustainability program – the YES! Initiative and is committed to donating windows in at least one park building every year.
Yellowstone’s YES! (Yellowstone Environmental Stewardship) Initiative matches well with Andersen’s core values of leadership, partnership and corporate citizenship. YES! Is a five-year sustainability plan that elevates the park as a worldwide leader in operational environmental stewardship.
Specifically the park aims to:
- Reduce the park’s greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent
- Reduce the park’s electricity consumption by 15 percent
- Reduce fossil fuel consumption by 18 percent
- Divert 100 percent of solid waste from landfills
The multi-year plan will help reduce Yellowstone’s “ecological footprint, increase operational efficiency, and better preserve Park resources for future generations.”
Andersen is pleased to align with Yellowstone and support their important initiative for America’s favorite national park. Click here for more information on the initiative.
Andersen’s commitment to donating windows will start with The Lamar Buffalo Ranch and Andersen is working with the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office and Park Officials to determine the best product applications here. Look for progress updates on this project in upcoming issues of Pro Views.
