Builder Marty Reker builds homes in a traditional neighborhood in Sartell, Minn., about 75 miles from the Twin Cities. The neighborhood has been described as a neighborhood that borrows from the past, where community is built through backyard barbeques, block parties, leisurely evening strolls and front porch swings.
So, when a trusted sales manager from Mathew Hall Lumber suggested that Reker try the new Andersen® exterior trim system for his homes, Reker considered the benefits of saving time on the job site with the high-quality, low-maintenance features of the trim product, and its fit with the development’s philosophy of simple, classic quality. Mathew Hall Lumber was already specifying Andersen 400 Series windows for Reker and he was pleased with the low-maintenance and high-quality of the products. He thought he’d give the new trim a try.
Among the first projects: an Arts and Crafts style home. Reker specified 400 Series tilt-wash double-hung windows and 3-1/2 inch flat trim with sill nose, both in white.
Previously, Reker was using an aluminum coil stock to trim windows. The team was so pleased with the overall look of the exterior trim system, the dimension that it brought to the home and the ease of installation. Reker now has plans to continue using the Andersen exterior trim system as he builds more homes in the Celebration community.
