Lund, who was named president & CEO of Andersen in March 2011, replaces Chairman Jim Humphrey, who officially retires from his board role on February 22, 2013, as part of a planned transition. Humphrey joined Andersen in 1999, served as president & CEO from 2003 to 2011 and was named chairman of the board in February of 2008. He joined Andersen following a 31-year career at Armstrong World Industries.
“Under Jim’s leadership, Andersen grew its national footprint and expanded its portfolio across all price points, and types of window and doors,” Lead Director Jack Morrison said.
Lund joined Andersen in 1985 and served in a series of progressively responsible positions in IT, Marketing, Sales, Distribution, Logistics and general management. He became the company’s 10th president in September 2009, and became CEO when Humphrey retired from the company in April 2011. Lund is a member of the Board of Directors of the Andersen Corporate Foundation. He also sits on the boards of St. Olaf College, the Harvard Joint Center for Housing, The Itasca Project and the GREATER MSP Regional Economic Development.
“Jay's contributions and accomplishments over the last twenty-seven years have been instrumental to the growth of Andersen,” Humphrey said. “We look forward to Jay taking on this additional role as chairman.”
Lund added, “I am honored to take on the additional responsibility of Andersen's board chair. It is a privilege to work with a strong board and to build on our industry leadership position.”
Privately held, Andersen Corporation’s 12-member board consists of eight independent directors, two family members and two members of senior management.
